As professional machinery handlers we have a variety of tools and equipment at our disposal to ensure each project is carried out safely, efficiently and effectively.
As someone who has a vested interest in ensuring your own machinery related projects are a success, we thought it might be interesting to highlight some of these tools and how they might be of benefit.
This short series of ‘Tools of the Trade’, kicks off with a look at electric pick & carry cranes…
Literally designed to pick, carry and place a load, they are typically more versatile than a conventional mobile telescopic crane, which is generally confined to a single position, supported on outriggers during a lift.
Their smaller size provides a level of flexibility and manoeuvrability not available in a conventional mobile crane, which is ideal on congested sites or within factory environments.
This also means they have the possibility to get much closer to the load, further reducing the size requirement and allowing better control of the working environment.
We have a range of sizes available to suit the lift in hand, from a 2-tonne capacity machine, not much wider than a shopping trolley:
To a 25-tonne machine, the modern equivalent to the old iron fairy:
For years now, we’ve been using electric pick & carry cranes within factory environments, where the use of diesel machines would be completely out of the question due to noise and fumes.
However, more recently companies have a real interest in the wider environment, reducing emissions and using sustainable energy. These machines tick all these boxes, whilst still providing a safer and more effective option for many projects.
Our electric pick and carry crane operators are all fully trained and certified to use this equipment correctly.
Furthermore, with years of machinery handling and rigging experience, we have the expertise to ensure the whole lifting operation is carried out to the highest standards and with minimal disruption to your operation, from start to finish.
If you have a potential requirement for these versatile machines, please get in touch with the team at Novatec to discuss further – we’re always up for a challenge and love to help!
Over the years, our team has handled everything from a single machine to complete factories for a variety of different clients and in all industries from food production to waste recycling (and everything in between).
Regardless of the size of the project, our team follows the same strict procedures to ensure your machinery is handled safely and efficiently and is back in operation to suit your requirements.
Trust us to look after your machinery needs in every aspect, from planning and management to decommissioning, movement, re-installation and commissioning. Get in touch with our friendly team and we’ll be only too happy to advise on the next steps for your project.
